POSITION SUMMARY

The Maintenance & Facilities Technician is responsible for performing a variety of routine and emergency maintenance to all Sierra Circuits, Inc. facilities and equipment as directed by the Maintenance & Faculties Manager.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Conduct periodic inspections on assigned equipment according to the Preventive Maintenance Schedule (ISO Form 11-01-01-B). Perform preventative maintenance work on equipment and machinery to prevent breakdowns, costly repairs, and the development of unsafe conditions. Promptly respond to and complete job requisitions according to request forms and submit to the Maintenance & Facilities Manager. Use proper tools and techniques to perform the required tasks in a professional and safe manner. Research, order, and prepare spare parts needed with the most cost-effective solution. Report any potential problems to the Maintenance & Facilities Manager. Perform daily housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe work environment. Interact professionally and diplomatically with managers, co-workers, and vendors. Be available for emergency maintenance. May be required to operate a forklift. May occasionally operate company vehicles to make pickups and deliveries. Must practice safe driving habits. Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required. High school diploma, AA degree in related field preferred. 2-5 years' experience in the following trades: general building maintenance, electricity, carpentry and plumbing. Ability to read and interpret schematic diagrams. Previous hands-on experience with electrical/mechanical tools and test instruments. Good written/verbal communication skills and ability to generate reports of diagnoses of machines and completed task. Must have a professional demeanor and good customer service skills with a sense of urgency. Ability to lift up to 25 pounds maximum and stand/walk throughout the day. Ability to operate a forklift if needed. Must be highly motivated and able to multi-task. Ability to perform at the highest level in a fast-paced environment. Valid driver's license required and clean driving record required
