STATEMENT OF JOB
Under the direct supervision of the Facility Maintenance Manager, the Facility Maintenance Technician is responsible for completing assigned projects and tasks that will support the cost-effective operation, care, preventative maintenance, and long-term preservation of the physical assets of Central Valley Training Center, Inc. properties. The Facility Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, functionality, and appearing of an assigned region of facilities.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Building Maintenance Buff and polish floors to maintain their appearance. Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and priming. Apply paint, varnish, and other finishes to walls, ceilings, and other surfaces. Keep the area around Dumpsters free of loose debris.
Repairs and Maintenance:
Perform minor repairs on light plumbing and light electrical. Perform minor drywall repairs. Replace light bulbs and other fixtures as needed. Replace locks and doorknobs as needed. Maintain and service cleaning equipment and tools. Ensure all equipment is in good working condition and report any malfunctions.
Groundskeeping:
Ensure walkways and entrances are clear and safe. Assure all landscaping is being completed to high expectations Pressure wash exterior surfaces.
Safety and Compliance:
Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment. Comply with all relevant regulations and company policies. Meet with vendors and oversee their work to completion
Other:
Distribution of materials and supplies using a hand truck. Perform related duties as assigned. #

Knowledge of basic repair techniques and equipment maintenance. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Ability to work in various environmental conditions, including hot, cold, and wet weather. Ability to travel within a specified region. EDUCATION and/or
EXPERIENCE
High School diploma or equivalent. Previous experience in facility maintenance or a related field is preferred.

Must be willing to travel within the state of California up to 30% of the time.
