Responsible for applying basic repairs and regular maintenance to equipment and building systems and ensure facilities are clean and functional. Must be reliable, focus on the details, and follow-through. The ideal candidate will have experience and solid technical knowledge. You must possess manual dexterity and physical stamina. Responsibilities Identifies problems initiate work orders, accomplished assigned work orders and does all necessary repairs relating to their expertise. Performs preventative maintenance and maintains logs in an organized manner. Complete the duty rounds checklists and corrects noted problems. Perform cleaning activities such as dusting, mopping etc. as needed. Perform minor fixes such as repairing broken locks, filling gaps on walls etc. Check control panels and electrical wiring to identify issues Install appliances and equipment Conduct maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs Inspect and troubleshoot equipment and systems (e.g. ventilation) Check functionality of safety systems (e.g. fire alarm) Creates a safe environment for Guests and employees by ensuring that the hotel is maintained in accordance with safety standards. Maintains a clean and orderly work area free of hazards Collaborate with workers and other professionals during renovations Report to facilities/GM for issues Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, employees may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the hotel. Skills Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing and electrical systems Experience using hand and electrical tools Ability to read technical manuals and drawings Very good communication and interpersonal skills Physical stamina and dexterity High school diploma or equivalent The statements listed are intended to represent the key duties and level of work being performed.
