Job Description
Job Title:
Maintenance Technician Position Overview The Maintenance Technician plays a key role in ensuring the safety, comfort, and satisfaction of resort guests by maintaining the property's facilities, systems, and equipment to luxury standards. This position requires a proactive, service-oriented professional with strong technical skills and attention to detail. Key Responsibilities- Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on guest rooms, common areas, and back-of-house facilities.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and other building systems as needed.
- Respond promptly and professionally to guest and staff service requests, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in clean, safe, and orderly condition.
- Assist with property improvement projects, seasonal preparations, and emergency maintenance as required.
- Uphold all safety standards, resort policies, and regulatory compliance requirements. Qualifications
- Prior maintenance or engineering experience in a hospitality, luxury residential, or resort setting preferred.
- Working knowledge of building systems (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, painting).
- Strong problem-solving and customer service skills.
- Ability to lift, carry, and move equipment or materials as required.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays. Physical Requirements
- Must be able to stand for reasonable amounts of time, walk, climb stairs and ladders, and crawl.
- Must be able to hold and carry items up to 75lbs, and use hand and power tools.
- Must have vision and hearing adequate for driving
- move hands and arms above head for such activity as painting and changing light bulbs.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Must have a valid Colorado Drivers License, and be able to operate all Aspen Alps vehicles including trucks rigged with snow plows.
- Demonstrates technical ability in the areas of electrical wiring, plumbing systems, heat and mechanical systems, and carpentry.
- Must speak English fluently.
- Must communicate with fellow employees, staff, owners and guests.
- Must be able to work independently with little or no supervision.
