Job Description

Chocolove, a growing chocolate company with an expansive production facility located in Boulder, is looking for a full-time experienced
PM MECHANIC
to diagnosis, repair to the component level, maintain, and rebuild machines to ensure it is fully operational. The successful candidate must accept a sense of urgency to get the factory operating at 100% as well as take pride in their work. It is the responsibility of all employees to maintain a safe, productive, and efficient chocolate factory and support the culture and shared values of Chocolove.

  • Maintain wrapping equipment, observes mechanical operation, listens and locates trouble.
  • Perform daily cleanings and inspections.
  • Performs predictive and preventative maintenance on various mechanical equipment.
  • Troubleshoots failing components and can either repair or replace parts accordingly.
  • Annotate work with work orders and take tech notes.
  • Complete inspection logs and downtime reports.
  • Ensures all projects are completed on time and in accordance to specifications standards
  • Complete other tasks and duties consistent with the maintenance and improvement department as well as the plants' needs when assigned.
  • Follows Safe Quality Foods (SQF) and FDA guidelines and standards
  • Ensures compliance with industry standards and certifications as well as all local Federal and State Codes and Laws
  • This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
  • Occasional out-of-area travel may be required.

  • Ability to listen effectively and to clearly communicate with customers and employees. Read and understand instructions.
  • Write reports and spreadsheets with proper format, punctuation, spelling and grammar, using all parts of speech. Possess a results-oriented mindset with a strong commitment to quality. Ability to maintain effective working relationship with all contacts both inside and outside Company.
  • Follow all procedures as outlines in Company manual and posted directive
  • Solve problems using facts and professional judgment.
  • React quickly in emergency situations and make sound decisions under stressful situations
  • Able to read, write and speak English
  • Wear proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when required by job functions.
  • Required to maintain a safe work environment and uphold proper hygiene practices.
  • Ability to lift 100 lbs. maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to push / pull objects that may weigh in excess of 50 lbs.
  • Ability to bend, twist, squat, reach, kneel, stand, sit, climb, grip, lift, carry, finger dexterity, and move freely throughout the work environment.
  • Ability to hear and understand internal and external employees and customers
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Individual rates/salaries that are offered to a candidate are determined after consideration of numerous factors including internal equity, market data, the candidate's qualifications- including but not limited to specialty skills, prior relevant industry experience, relevant degrees or certifications. The following rate range estimate is inclusive of all departments within the company and offered rates may vary within the given range between departments.
