Position Overview We are seeking a skilled, hands-on Field Maintenance Technician to provide maintenance and technical support across three commercial car wash locations in the Colorado Springs area. This position is responsible for maintaining equipment reliability, troubleshooting failures, completing repairs, and performing preventive maintenance across all three sites. We are looking for someone who is mechanically strong, comfortable with electrical troubleshooting, and capable of working independently. You should be the type of technician who can identify a problem, determine the root cause, make the appropriate repair, and get equipment safely back into operation. Previous car wash experience is preferred but not required. Candidates with strong backgrounds in industrial maintenance, field service, manufacturing, automotive equipment, HVAC, facilities maintenance, electromechanical repair, or similar trades are encouraged to apply. Key Responsibilities Support maintenance and repair needs across three locations in the Colorado Springs area. Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and routine equipment inspections. Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, plumbing, and chemical-delivery systems. Troubleshoot motors, pumps, gearboxes, bearings, valves, cylinders, sensors, switches, solenoids, relays, contactors, hoses, fittings, and related components. Maintain and repair conveyor systems, chains, sprockets, rollers, and other moving equipment. Troubleshoot pumps, high-pressure water systems, water reclaim systems, and associated plumbing. Maintain chemical delivery and application equipment, including pumps, injectors, lines, applicators, and chemical calibration. Perform electrical troubleshooting involving motors, sensors, control circuits, relays, contactors, VFDs, and other components within the technician's training and qualifications. Identify developing equipment problems and address them before they result in unnecessary downtime. Respond promptly to equipment failures and operational maintenance needs. Determine root causes of recurring failures rather than relying solely on repeated component replacement. Assist with equipment installations, upgrades, modifications, and improvement projects. Perform general building and facility maintenance as needed. Maintain an appropriate inventory of commonly used and critical replacement parts. Document completed repairs, preventive maintenance, parts used, and outstanding equipment issues. Communicate equipment condition and repair priorities clearly with site leadership. Maintain clean, safe, and organized equipment rooms and maintenance areas. Follow all applicable safety procedures, including lockout/tagout practices. Travel regularly between all three assigned locations. Qualifications High school diploma or GED. Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on troubleshooting ability. Prior experience in equipment maintenance, industrial maintenance, field service, facilities maintenance, automotive repair, HVAC, manufacturing, or a related technical field. Working knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems. Ability to troubleshoot pumps, motors, valves, plumbing, sensors, and related equipment. Ability to safely operate common hand tools, power tools, meters, and diagnostic equipment. Ability to read equipment manuals, diagrams, and basic electrical schematics. Strong troubleshooting and root-cause problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and manage priorities across multiple locations. Dependable and able to respond appropriately when equipment problems affect operations. Good communication and documentation skills. Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record. Reliable personal transportation for travel between assigned locations. Ability to safely perform the physical requirements of a field maintenance position, including lifting, bending, reaching, climbing, and working in wet or outdoor environments. Preferred Experience Experience in any combination of the following is highly desirable: Commercial car wash equipment Industrial or electromechanical maintenance Motors and pumps Conveyors, chains, bearings, sprockets, and gearboxes Electrical troubleshooting VFDs, relays, contactors, sensors, and control circuits Pneumatic and hydraulic systems Plumbing and high-pressure water systems Water reclaim or water-treatment equipment Chemical dispensing and delivery systems Welding and light fabrication Preventive maintenance programs What Success Looks Like The goal of this position is simple: keep the equipment running safely, reliably, and consistently across all three locations. A successful Field Maintenance Technician doesn't just respond when something breaks. They learn the equipment, recognize developing problems, perform preventive maintenance, identify recurring failure points, and continually improve the reliability of the sites they support.

Because this role supports operating facilities, reasonable flexibility is required when an urgent equipment failure occurs. Occasional early-morning, evening, or weekend work may be necessary depending on operational needs. Transportation This position requires regular travel between three locations in the Colorado Springs area. A company vehicle is not currently provided. Candidates must have a valid driver's license and reliable personal transportation. Compensation $25.00-$35.00 per hour, based on experience and technical capability. Candidates with strong electromechanical troubleshooting skills, industrial maintenance experience, or direct car wash equipment experience may qualify toward the upper end of the range.
