//www.facebook.com/BakeFreshCompanyofColorado Overall Responsibility The Maintenance Technician is responsible to keep all of the equipment and the facility in working order. The Maintenance Technician must keep current with all preventative maintenance, maintain a spare parts level, perform repairs as needed and work with equipment service representatives as required. The facility is open 365 days a year, including holidays. Weekend availability is a requirement of the position. Core Job Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: Repairing all equipment to original performance standards and specifications in a timely manner Keeping all equipment in good working order Working with equipment suppliers' service representatives as required Follow all GMP and safety guidelines Execute and document the preventative maintenance schedule and work orders Communicate needs for spare parts as outlined in the spare parts inventory Keep equipment manuals available, current and orderly Identify equipment with poor performance history to the Maintenance Manager Maintain equipment so it can be operated in a safe manner Communicate safety and sanitation issues to Safety and Sanitation Leaders as well as area leaders, Production Shift Supervisor and CPL Manager Review maintenance requests with the CPL Manager Ensure maintenance room is clean, sanitary and well organized Instruct appropriate team leaders in the proper handling of equipment to minimize damage Report to work on time, in a clean/complete uniform and maintains good personal hygiene Follow safety guidelines and procedures at all times Strictly adhere to and confer all company policies and procedures as outlined in the policy manual All other duties as assigned Minimum Qualifications/Experience Some Mechanical, Electrical and PLC equipment repair skills Experience with conveyor maintenance, electrical, welding parts, stainless processes and some plumbing General facility maintenance skills Works well in a team environment Minimum of 1 year troubleshooting experience in a food manufacturing environment with proven skills in mechanical and electrical hydraulic and pneumatic systems Calculate tolerances of parts and design fabrications up upgrade equipment using basic math, and geometry, and electrical calculations Reads and interprets technical service bulletins and manuals High School Diploma or GED equivalent Industrial Electrical troubleshooting skills including 480V 3ph and control circuits Allen Bradley PLC trouble shooting and repair Self-motivated Education/Experience Experience with conveyor maintenance, electrical, welding parts, and some plumbing Minimum of 1-year troubleshooting experience in a food manufacturing environment with proven skills in mechanical and electrical hydraulic and pneumatic systems High School Diploma or GED equivalent Work Environment The physical requirements described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. This job operates in a manufacturing environment inside an air-conditioned building with normal temperatures between 70 and 80 degrees. Minor smoke/smell from ovens and fryers. Contact with food allergens like wheat, egg, soy, milk, peanuts, and tree-nuts. Occasionally required to enter walk-in-cooler or freezer for a short period of time with normal temperature between 0 to 40 degrees. Physical Requirements While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Stooping and bending may be below the knees, lifting and reaching may be above shoulders. On foot on a continuous basis. Grasping, pushing, pulling as needed.
