Jr Maintenance Technician

Maintenance Technicians - Denver International Airport (DEN) Launch your career in industrial maintenance at one of the busiest airports in the country. Schedule Shifts:

Sunday-Wednesday or Wednesday-Saturday Day and night shifts available Pay Starting at $26.00 per hour Growth and advancement opportunities available Key Responsibilities Perform inspections on belts, motors, conveyors, and carousels to ensure safe and efficient operation Maintain cleanliness of conveyor systems by removing debris and keeping work areas organized Support experienced technicians with maintenance tasks and urgent repair calls Replace basic components such as belts, bearings, and protective covers under guidance Resolve baggage jams and safely restart equipment Use hand tools for routine adjustments and minor repairs Report equipment issues clearly and accurately to the team Adhere to all safety protocols and consistently wear required PPE Participate in ongoing training to build mechanical and technical expertise Qualifications Minimum of 1 year of hands-on or mechanical experience Automotive mechanic experience highly preferred Industrial maintenance experience also considered Comfortable using basic hand tools safely Eagerness to learn mechanical systems and basic electrical concepts Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly High school diploma or GED required Strong communication skills and ability to follow directions closely Why Join Us Stable, full-time position in a secure airport environment On-the-job training with experienced maintenance professionals Clear pathway to advancement into a full Maintenance Technician role Opportunity to earn while developing valuable electro-mechanical skills Supportive company culture focused on growth and long-term success Work Environment This role is performed on-site at an active airport and involves working around moving machinery, conveyor systems, and electrical components. Daily duties require standing, walking, bending, kneeling, climbing, and working in confined or elevated spaces. The environment may include exposure to dust, heat, and noise. Candidates must remain alert when working near active equipment and consistently use required protective gear. The role is physically demanding, including frequent lifting up to 50 lbs and occasional lifting up to 100 lbs. Security Requirements (Required for Employment) All hires must successfully obtain and maintain a DEN airport security badge, which includes: Drug screening Driver's license verification 10-year records check (CHRC) Federal fingerprinting Security threat assessment Completion of all airport badging procedures Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Denver, CO.
