JOB DESCRIPTION ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Conducts needed maintenance on injection molding and manufacturing equipment. Troubleshoot, report problems, and resolve them in a timely manner. Performs scheduled preventative maintenance on machines and equipment. Responds to maintenance needs specific to production and logistics, and general building maintenance. Strives to complete maintenance work orders accurately. Responsible for individual quality of work including cleanup after completion of task. Works alongside Process Technicians and Production Manager providing training through advisement, demonstration, troubleshooting and assistance in projects. Demonstrates and assures a high standard for maintenance work quality. Updates maintenance records and reports. Assures maintenance projects are progressing and communicates with management and staff on completion. Maintains needed supplies, tools, and equipment. Coordinates outsourced maintenance when needed. SKILLS Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed and uninvolved written and oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving few concrete variables in standard situations. Possess basic math skills such as add, subtract, multiply, divide in all units of measure using whole numbers. Able to understand and carry out oral and written instructions. Able to communicate effectively with managers, co-workers, vendors, and suppliers. Ability to read and interpret documents such as schematics, machine drawings, operating manuals/procedures, and maintenance instructions. Ability to prepare written technical reports and/or correspondence. Possess a level of high engagement. Must maintain files and records. Basic skills with Microsoft Office. Basic carpentry and fabrication skills. Mechanical aptitude. Possess a high standard of quality. WILLS A willingness to improve through guidance and outside influence. Willingness to respond, apply and adapt to feedback both negative and positive. Dedication to meeting timelines and maintaining a high standard of quality. Self-starter. Willingness to address and complete job functions by utilizing information from available and researched sources. Take ownership of the maintenance process including but not limited to maintaining parts and supplies inventory, developing and maintaining vendor and supplier relationships, coordinating and executing outsourced maintenance. Work closely with management to include support with department wide purchasing and execution of needed training.

QUALIFICATIONS

Maintenance Experience is required. Training in maintenance, plumbing, HVAC, mechanical systems, electrical, hydraulic systems, robot and machine troubleshooting. Experience in plastic injection molding or similar production environments. Training in General Safety, Fork Truck, Scissor lift, Machining, Arc Flash, Lock Out Tag Out, etc.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, and push/pull 100 pounds. Able to navigate stairs and ladders. Walking or standing for extended periods of time. Bending, twisting, crouching, and kneeling. Must be able to use hand trucks and carts to push and pull loads > 100 lbs. Must have the ability to safely mount and dismount forklifts. Position requires dexterity of hands and fingers to use hand/power tools.

Work Environment:

Manufacturing environment where the employee will be exposed to shop elements such as noise, dust, odors, and weather. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate and sometimes noisy. There will be times when it is required to enter loud areas.
