Job Description
Summary:
Provide daily janitorial and facility maintenance services for The Juniper School.Duties and Responsibilities Facilities/Operations:
- Communicate with trash, recycling, snow removal, and any other purchased service providers
- Identify areas of campus that need attention and any procedures to put in place for campus safety/maintenance
- Perform general maintenance and repair of buildings and equipment
- Determine when purchased/contracted services are required to meet maintenance/repair demands; communicate with Business Manager on the bid process
- Manage the upkeep of exterior grounds
Janitorial:
- Sanitize multipurpose areas after lunch wiping down all surfaces, sweeping floors, and emptying trash
- Monitor bathroom cleanliness, replenishing paper products, trash bins
- Clean facility (interior of buildings and outdoor learning areas) daily when school is in session, this includes: vacuuming/mopping all floors, disinfecting all high touch surfaces in classrooms and offices (tables, desks, light switches, door knobs), thorough cleaning of bathrooms and multi-purpose spaces, emptying trash and recycling bins
- Clean up spills, messes, plumbing issues, etc.
- Sweep, spray, shovel all walkways on campus as needed
- Deep clean over the winter, spring and summer breaks
- Manage inventory/ordering of disposable/consumable products such a soap, paper and cleaning
