Job Description
Ambassador Blind & Shutter is a locally owned window covering company serving residential and commercial clients throughout Western Colorado for over 20 years. We specialize in high-quality window coverings, patio shades, and exterior shading systems. We are seeking a dependable, mature installer to join our team. This role focuses primarily on commercial installation projects and residential patio shade and awning installations. We are looking for someone who is professional, savvy, and willing to take on new responsibilities and grow with our company. Responsibilities
- Install patio shades, awnings, and other exterior shading systems
- Assist with installation on commercial projects
- Use drills and power tools to mount brackets, tracks, and hardware
- Measure openings and verify proper installation alignment
- Safely work on ladders and elevated surfaces
- Maintain a clean and organized job site
- Communicate professionally with customers and team members
- Travel to installation sites throughout the region when required Requirements
- At least 2 years of window covering, patio shade, or pergola experience
- Proficient using power tools, especially drills and drivers
- Ability to accurately read and use a tape measure
- Ability to read and write clearly to understand work orders and installation instructions
- Comfortable working at heights and climbing tall ladders
- Physically able to lift 75lbs
- Ability to lift installation equipment and materials overhead
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow installation instructions
- Professional, dependable, and willing to take on new responsibilities Schedule & Travel Full-time position Some projects require travel outside the local area with overnight stays for two to three nights in a row. Out-of-town trips typically occur one to two weeks per month. Preferred (but not required)
- Experience with construction, carpentry, or installation work
- Experience installing patio shades, awnings, garage doors, siding, or similar exterior systems
- Experience working on commercial job sites
