Job Description
Adeo is a respected non-profit organization that has been providing services to people with disabilities and their families in Northern Colorado for more than 40 years. Our services focus on residential program for adults with brain injuries. At Adeo we actively recruit to ensure a diverse workforce. We set high expectations and provide the support needed to achieve them. Adeo is hiring a Maintenance Technician.
Pay range:
$22-25/hourExpected Schedule:
40 hours/week, flexible, on-callJob Summary:
Adeo's maintenance technician performs routine building and property maintenance, repairs common property issues, and ensures the facilities remain in safe operating form.Hours:
Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. with shared on-call responsibilities.Responsibilities:
1. Construction- Minor foundation work
- Minimal framing work
- Drywall repair
- Painting
- Floor coverings to include carpet and linoleum
- Finish work 2. Renovation
- Stripping of linoleum floors, floor coverings, patching of walls, repairing of cabinets, minor plumbing, minor electrical work, and any other renovation necessary with minimal supervision. 3. Maintenance
- Ability to do summertime grounds-keeping to include: mowing, trimming, pruning, raking, sprinkler repair as needed
- During winter will adjust schedule to accommodate snow removal as determined by the facilities manager.
- Ability to do general repair and replacement work on door frames, permanent interior fixtures, and windows throughout Adeo properties.
- Renovate a unit once a tenant moves out.
- Ability to do minor repairs of tools and machinery owned by Adeo.
- Be available to take on-call phone rotation, assigned holidays and respond to legitimate emergency situations within established response times (approximately 20-30 minutes).
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years' experience in renovation, repair, and maintenance; preferably with multifamily dwellings.
- General knowledge of, and the ability to, troubleshoot and repair electrical and plumbing issues, heating and cooling systems.
- Ability to repair or replace carpeting and/or linoleum flooring
- Ability to repair minor roof leaks, framing, drywall, and cement issues.
- Ability to troubleshoot and make minor repairs to small appliances, equipment and small tools
Special Requirements:
Must be able to hold on-call phone 24/7 for maintenance emergencies- English written and oral communication skills
- Be able to work with others in a team concept environment
- Maintain a respectful demeanor toward staff, residents and others while preforming maintenance, renovation or construction for tasks.
- Must have a valid Colorado Driver license and reliable transportation
- Must have a variety of own tools
Physical Requirements:
- Exert in excess of 100 lbs. of force occasionally
- Exert in excess of 50 lbs. of force frequently
- Exert in excess of 20 lbs. of force constantly
- Lift, carry, push, pull, reach, stand and walk
- Possess visual and auditory acuity
