Facilities Maintenance Specialist Air Methods - 3.1 Greenwood Village, CO Job Details Full-time $58,406.25 - $73,053.75 a year 1 hour ago Qualifications Computer operation Microsoft Excel Microsoft Outlook Customer service Driver's License Task prioritization Full Job Description Job Summary The Facilities Maintenance Specialist serves as an on-site position responsible for ensuring effective and efficient operation of all facilities, properties, and office services, including oversight of operational hangars and buildings at their respective campus. Collaboration with the manufacturing and operations teams to minimize downtime, improve operational efficiency, maintaining a safe, productive, and compliant environment. Essential Functions and Responsibilities include the following: Develop and implement preventative maintenance (PM) programs for all facility systems, machinery, and equipment. Ensure the upkeep of building systems, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, lighting, and safety equipment. Coordinate routine inspections, identify repairs or upgrades needed, and oversee necessary improvements to ensure operational efficiency. Manage facility-related construction projects, such as renovations, expansions, or new installations. Daily, inspect and maintain the exterior premises (grounds, building, etc.), including removal of FOD (foreign object debris) and seasonal duties such as coordinating and/or performing snow removal in the winter and lawn care in the spring and summer. (as required) Identify issues of concern in building operations, assist with developing proposals for redress, and implement as appropriate and restore / repair buildings as required. Assist planning and performance of basic building repairs, miscellaneous jobs and handyman work as needed. Perform coordination with maintenance contractors and vendors to supervise and monitor HVAC, extermination, plumbing, appliance maintenance, electrical, GSE repair and other services that cannot be performed internally. Identify opportunities for improving facility operations, reducing costs, and increasing efficiency through process improvement and environmental (green) initiatives. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues related to facility performance and operational needs. Source external vendors and service providers for maintenance, repair, and construction projects. Safety & Compliance Monitor facility compliance with safety regulations (OSHA, EPA) and company health and safety policies, local building codes, environmental regulations & safety standards. Conduct regular safety audits and coordinate emergency preparedness drills. Address safety concerns and implement corrective actions to ensure a safe working environment for all staff. Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, inspections, and safety audits. Escort vendors & suppliers inside facility when required. Additional Job Requirements Other duties as assigned Additional Job Requirements Regular scheduled attendance Performance of adhering to a RAIL (rolling action item list) for project assignment and staying on budget for each task. On call as required for after-hours maintenance in the event of an emergency repair (heating, electrical, water supply) Subject to applicable laws and Air Method's policies, regular attendance is an essential function of the position. Education & Experience High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and two (2) to five (5) years' related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience 1 or more years' experience with related skilled trades (Building/ Facility maintenance, electrical, carpentry, mechanic, HVAC, welding, machining, etc.) Skills Dependable and self-motivated Excellent organizational skills, detail oriented, ability to prioritize and multi-task Ability to be a team player with a professional attitude Strong customer services skills Knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and other construction trades Bilingual (English/Spanish) strongly preferred Computer Skills Capable with Microsoft Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook Certificates, Licenses, Registrations Valid driver's license
