A Hotel Maintenance Attendant is responsible for maintaining the hotel's rooms, facilities, equipment, and common areas to ensure a safe, clean, comfortable, and well-functioning environment for guests and employees.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform routine inspections of guest rooms, hallways, public areas, and hotel facilities. Repair and maintain plumbing, electrical, HVAC, lighting, doors, furniture, and other hotel equipment. Respond promptly to maintenance requests and guest concerns. Perform preventive maintenance on hotel systems and equipment. Replace light bulbs, batteries, filters, fixtures, and other maintenance items. Troubleshoot and repair minor mechanical, electrical, and plumbing problems. Maintain swimming pool, laundry, kitchen, or other hotel equipment as assigned. Keep maintenance tools, work areas, and storage rooms organized and safe. Assist with emergency repairs and respond to maintenance issues when required. Follow hotel safety procedures, OSHA requirements, and company policies. Document completed maintenance work and report major problems to the Maintenance Supervisor or Chief Engineer. Work closely with housekeeping, front desk, and other departments to address maintenance needs.
Qualifications & Skills:
Previous maintenance, hotel, apartment, or building maintenance experience preferred. Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and general repairs. Ability to use hand and power tools safely. Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Good communication and customer-service skills. Ability to lift, carry, bend, climb ladders, and stand for extended periods. Flexible availability, including weekends, holidays, or emergency/on-call shifts when required.
