8:00am - 5:00pm (with some schedule flexibility) Job Overview Join our team as a full-time Facilities & Maintenance Generalist , where your hands-on skills and proactive mindset help keep our campus running smoothly. In this versatile role, you will support daily facilities operations, assist janitorial teams, and manage waste and recycling services across campus. Your work ensures a clean, safe, and well-maintained environment for our community.Responsibilities:
Assist the Forge facilities team as they respond to on-campus incidents with basic repairs, troubleshooting, and operational needs. Provide occasional janitorial coverage, including cleaning interior bathrooms, floors, and common areas. Support janitorial teams during high-demand periods, special events, or staffing gaps. Collect trash from outdoor receptacles and monitor campus dumpsters for capacity and cleanliness. Manage cardboard recycling, including safe operation of the cardboard compactor. Monitor campus grounds for litter and perform waste pick-up as needed. Load and unload materials using proper manual handling techniques and equipment. Follow all safety protocols, including heavy lifting procedures and PPE requirements. Collaborate with team members to maintain efficient collection routes and timely service. Perform routine inspections of equipment, tools, and campus assets to identify issues and ensure safe operation. Assist with general maintenance tasks as assigned, including light repairs, minor fixes, and campus upkeep.Skills:
Ability to troubleshoot minor equipment issues. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently in all weather conditions. Excellent driving record with experience in delivery or waste collection routes. Knowledge of safety regulations related to heavy vehicle operation, waste handling, and environmental compliance.
