Our client is looking for an experienced, customer service focused Maintenance professional to join their team!
Qualifications:
Previous building maintenance experience is required; Residential or Commercial maintenance will be considered Valid Driver License required upon hire after temp period HVAC and CPO certifications strongly desired High school Diploma or GED is required Associate demonstrates excellent customer service skills, including inquiring for customer feedback to improve services Proficiency in using property management software(s) and Microsoft Office is preferred Must be reliable and dependable, takes accountability for actions, and demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness in executed work Must be able to operate common maintenance related tools including but not limited to: electric saws, cordless screwdriver, drill, air conditioners, water heaters, chlorine test kit, various screwdrivers, nut drivers set, pliers, various wrenches, wire crimping/stripping tool, drill bits, hammers, tape (ruler), and ladders, experience in compressor diagnosis, fire sprinklers and irrigation systems preferred Must have basic knowledge of OSHA Requirements and Local, City and State Ordinances Must be able to apply common sense and understanding to carry out instructions and plans, including reaching out to appropriate people in decision-making Ability to work independently with little to now supervision Ability to work nights, weekends and holidays, and on-call responsibilities as needed The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for routine and preventative property maintenance, including equipment repairs, as well as ensuring the safety of residents and any guests according to company standards and compliant with all federal, state and local laws
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Communicate all unusual issues/problems or discoveries on and in the property and its surroundings to Supervisor Bring suggestions and ideas you may have to contribute to the team and property in a positive way Performs maintenance and repair work on the interior and exterior of building, kitchen/refrigeration equipment, lighting, heating/air conditioning (HVAC) ventilation, water treatment systems and swimming pools Timely completion of make readies with attention to detail and quality of work Perform apartment inspections for preventative maintenance needs Maintains a clean and safe shop, and store supplies and materials when delivered in a safe and organized manner Completes work orders, repairs, and maintains cleanliness in a timely manner while maintaining safety in all property areas, including the interior and exterior of buildings Utilize excellent communication skills while regularly interacting with residents, vendors, contractors, all levels of employees, and clients Provide snow removal service such as spreading ice melt or with shovels when necessary Troubleshoot areas of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, appliance repair and seek advice when needed Performs any other duties as requested by supervisor
