Description General Purpose The Maintenance Technician specializes in maintaining and repairing the physical structures of Alpine Bank's buildings and grounds. Essential Duties/Responsibilities Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Performs skilled trade work, such as carpentry or painting in the construction, repair or alternation of structures such as walls, roofs or office fixtures.
Conducts preventive maintenance to ensure plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems continue operating properly.
Performs general building maintenance, repair and remodels.
Cleans and provides upkeep of buildings, including buffing, dusting, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming and washing windows.
Moves and sets up furniture and equipment for Bank staff.
Abides by the standards of Alpine Bank's maintenance procedures and processes.
Regular and reliable on-site attendance is required as an essential function of this position.
Performs other duties as assigned. Employees are held accountable for all duties of this job.
Job Qualifications Knowledge, Skills, and Ability:
Skill in handling hand and mechanical equipment to avoid causing injuries to self and others.
Ability to prioritize tasks and follow specified instructions and procedures.
Knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods.
Strong ability to communicate system problems to both co-workers and manage for proper understanding.
Skill in resolving issues with customers, peers, vendors and management.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Education or Formal Training:
High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED) equivalency required.
Certificate in HVAC, building maintenance technology, or relevant field preferred.
Possession of, or ability to obtain, a valid State of Colorado Drivers' License, required.
Experience:
A minimum of 1 year of experience as a Maintenance Technician in a professional or industrial building.
Any years of post-high school education focused on building maintenance will count for one year of experience required.
Working Conditions Working Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be regularly work near or with moving mechanical parts, in small or cramped quarters, and exposed to outdoor weather conditions which may include extreme cold or extreme heat and insect bites. The employee occasionally may work in high, precarious places; be exposed to industrial chemicals and risk of electrical shock. All technicians are responsible for providing own basic hand tools. Must own and operate a reliable vehicle suitable for maintenance work. Evening and weekend work should be anticipated.
Physical Activities:
These are representative of those which must be met to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The employee will be regularly standing or walking, must be capable of lifting 50 pounds unassisted, moving equipment over 100 pounds with assistance, climb ladders to perform work, and continually use arms and legs for work activities. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus.
