Full Job Description Position Overview:

Zimmerman Metals, Inc. is seeking a motivated and dependable Entry Level Maintenance Technician to support the Maintenance Technician in maintaining and repairing equipment and facilities. This role is ideal for someone with a strong mechanical aptitude who is eager to grow their skills in an industrial environment. This role will help ensure equipment uptime, assist with preventative maintenance, and contribute to a safe and efficient workplace.

Job Responsibilities:

Assist with routine maintenance on a wide variety of mechanical equipment Support building maintenance tasks such as minor structural repairs (windows, doors, overhead doors, and walls) Help repair basic plumbing issues, including leaks and clogs Assist in diagnosing equipment issues, including electrical and mechanical components Support maintenance and repair of hydraulic systems Assist with overhead crane inspections and basic maintenance Help maintain preventative maintenance (PM) schedules for equipment Assist in coordinating and scheduling repairs and service as needed Maintain cleanliness and organization of maintenance areas and tools Respond to maintenance requests in a timely manner Occasionally assist with overtime work during equipment failures or urgent repairs Follow all safety procedures, including lockout/tagout protocols Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn Entry-level to intermediate knowledge of industrial maintenance preferred Basic understanding of plumbing, electrical systems, or hydraulics is a plus Familiarity with hand and power tools Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work Good communication and teamwork skills Ability to take direction and work independently when needed Physical ability to work on feet for extended periods and lift/move materials as required Basic computer skills; familiarity with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) preferred Must have own basic tools (preferred) Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record Ability to pass a pre-employment physical and drug screening Authorized to work in the

United States Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift and carry materials up to 50 pounds. Stamina and physical strength to stand, bend, and move for extended periods. Comfort working in a noisy and sometimes dusty environment. Adherence to safety goals and attire, including steel-toed metatarsal boots, hardhat, gloves, and safety glasses.
