What You'll Do:
As a Maintenance Technician II, you will play a hands-on role in keeping SCADD's facilities safe, operational, and well-maintained. Working out of our Lebanon Pines department and reporting to the Facilities Director, you will apply your skilled trade knowledge to handle a range of maintenance, grounds, and safety responsibilities across SCADD properties.
Responsibilities include:
Maintain buildings by performing routine painting and minor repairs to electrical, plumbing, and carpentry systems Notify management of the need for major repairs or additions to lighting, heating, and ventilating equipment Maintain grounds, including mowing grass, trimming shrubs, clearing litter, and keeping fences and walls free of vegetation Complete weekly fire and safety reports as assigned Participate in safety committee meetings as assigned Remain available after hours to respond to emergency maintenance issues Ready all facilities for seasonal changes, including maintaining, installing, or removing air conditioners, and managing ice and snow removal supplies and equipment Clear snow, ice, and debris from sidewalks and parking areas at all SCADD properties as assigned Participate in the orientation of new employees and the transfer of knowledge necessary for the performance of duties
What You'll Need:
High school diploma or equivalent; three to six months of related experience and/or training preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience Skilled-level experience in building maintenance, including electrical, plumbing, carpentry, or related trades Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record (no or minimal infractions) required Ability to identify potential hazards and take action to ensure the safety of people, buildings, and grounds Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and respond to changing needs in a timely manner Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a mission-driven environment Commitment to SCADD's values of diversity, equity, inclusion, and trauma-informed practice Why SCADD?
