Unlike traditional window companies that focus only on installation, our team works on the full lifecycle of window and door systems. From diagnosing operational issues and performing precision repairs to complete system replacements, we help property owners protect their investment and maximize performance. We service all major window and door manufacturers, including domestic brands, commercial systems, and high-performance European windows and doors. Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Window & Door Service Technician to join our growing team. This is a hands-on role for someone who takes pride in craftsmanship, problem-solving, and delivering exceptional service. The ideal candidate will have experience diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and installing windows and doors across a variety of residential and commercial applications. Every day is different. One day you may be adjusting hardware on a luxury European tilt and turn window system, while the next you may be replacing insulated glass units, repairing storefront doors, or installing new window and door systems. Responsibilities Diagnose and repair operational issues on windows and doors Perform preventative maintenance on residential and commercial systems Adjust and replace hardware including hinges, operators, locks, rollers, closers, and weatherstripping Replace insulated glass units (IGUs) Service sliding doors, casement windows, awning windows, double-hung windows, and commercial storefront systems Install replacement windows and doors Install weather sealing, trim components, hardware, and related accessories Document work performed and communicate findings to management Maintain a professional appearance and represent the company at the highest level Safely use ladders, lifts, power tools, and hand tools Travel to customer sites throughout Connecticut and surrounding areas Qualifications Minimum 3 years of experience working with windows, doors, glazing, construction, carpentry, or related trades Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills Experience with window and door installation preferred Experience with European window and door systems is a major plus Ability to read and understand measurements and job specifications Comfortable working independently and as part of a team Valid driver's license with clean driving record Ability to lift 75+ pounds and perform physical work throughout the day Professional communication and customer service skills Preferred Experience Andersen Windows (We are Certified Andersen Contractors ) Marvin Windows Pella Windows Jeld-Wen Commercial storefront systems Tilt & Turn windows and doors European aluminum and uPVC systems Glass replacement and glazing Finish carpentry Service and maintenance work What We Offer Competitive pay based on experience Company vehicle opportunities for qualified candidates Paid training and manufacturer training opportunities Career advancement opportunities Diverse and challenging projects Supportive team environment Opportunity to become a specialist in a growing niche industry Why Join VistaLuxe Service?
