Freedom Boat Club of Delaware Join our team and experience the thrill of boating while showcasing your mechanical expertise! As a Boat Maintenance Tech at Freedom Boat Club of Delaware, you'll be a vital part of our marine service department, assisting our mechanics in basic boat preparations and repairs. Your passion for boating and mechanical skills will be instrumental in providing exceptional service to our members.
Responsibilities:
Quality Assurance:
Test repaired boats to ensure optimal performance and safety.
Documentation:
Maintain accurate records of repairs, warranty parts, and work orders.
Maintenance:
Assist with seasonal tasks such as winterization and boat storage.
Preparation:
Assist in receiving new boats, sanding and painting hulls, installing safety and navigation equipment.
Boat deliveries:
Safely trailer boats throughout area of responsibility and properly launch into water.
Qualifications:
Mechanical Expertise:
Knowledge of outboard motors and boat maintenance.
Diagnostic Skills:
Ability to troubleshoot technical issues efficiently. Attention to
Detail:
Meticulous approach to work and a commitment to quality.
Teamwork:
Ability to collaborate effectively in a fast-paced environment. Passion for

Enthusiasm for the marine industry and a desire to provide exceptional service.
Physical Ability:
Ability to perform the physical demands of the role.
Experience:
Trailer Experience:
Ability to trailer boats while adhering to safety protocols.
Basic Boat Maintenance:
Experience with tasks such as bilge pump replacement, fuse replacement, startup issue diagnosis, and prop replacement.
Cosmetic Repairs:
Knowledge of basic cosmetic repairs and simple electrical troubleshooting.
