5:00am - 3:30pm About A&M Manufacturing Inc. A&M Manufacturing is the leading builder of commercial fiberglass pontoons and passenger vessels. Based in Alachua, Florida, we design and build semi-custom, full-composite commercial catamarans, tiki boats, party boats, double-decker vessels, and water taxis, purpose-built for the charter and COI industry. Our vessels are wood-free, USCG COI-ready, and built to last in both salt and freshwater environments. Job Summary We are seeking a reliable and hands-on Facilities & Maintenance Technician to support the upkeep and operation of our boat manufacturing facility. This role is responsible for performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting equipment issues, and ensuring a safe and efficient working environment. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong technical skills who enjoys working in a fast-paced, hands-on manufacturing setting. Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on facility systems and production equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
  • Support preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime.
  • Assist with maintenance of molds, chop guns, gel guns, and other production equipment.
  • Maintain shop equipment, tools, docks, and facility infrastructure.
  • Respond to maintenance requests and equipment breakdowns in a timely manner.
  • Follow all safety procedures and company policies.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Assist with facility setup for production needs, deliveries, and special projects. Qualifications
  • 2 plus years of maintenance experience in manufacturing, industry, or similar environments preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and general maintenance systems.
  • Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Willingness to adapt and learn, on-the-job training available. Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in marine, boat manufacturing, or industrial environments.
  • Technical or trade certification. Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the workday.
  • Ability to climb ladders.
  • Ability to lift heavy objects
  • Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with noise, dust, and varying temperatures. Work Environment
  • Active production floor and outdoor shipyard areas
  • Exposure to weather conditions and industrial equipment
  • Work near water and marine equipment
Compensation & Benefits Base Pay:
$18.00 - $20.00/hour (based on experience) Benefits (eligible after 90 days):
