Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic team as a Pool Technician and become a vital part of maintaining pristine, safe, and inviting swimming environments. In this energetic role, you will be responsible for inspecting, cleaning, and servicing pools to ensure optimal water quality and equipment functionality. Your expertise will help create enjoyable and safe aquatic experiences for our clients, while showcasing your skills in mechanical systems, landscaping, and maintenance. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your technical abilities and contribute to a vibrant community. Duties Perform routine inspections of pool systems, including pumps, filters, heaters, and chemical feeders to ensure proper operation. Clean and maintain pool surfaces, skimmers, filters, and surrounding areas using hand tools and power tools. Balance water chemistry by testing water samples and adding chemicals as needed to maintain safe pH levels and sanitation standards. Conduct minor repairs on pool equipment or coordinate with specialists for more complex issues involving mechanical or electrical components. Assist with landscaping tasks such as lawn care, tree trimming, irrigation system checks, and general landscape maintenance around pool facilities. Prepare pools for seasonal changes by draining, winterizing, or opening pools in accordance with safety protocols. Maintain detailed records of service activities, chemical treatments, repairs performed, and safety inspections. Skills Strong mechanical knowledge with experience working on pumps, filters, motors, and other pool equipment. Familiarity with landscaping practices including mowing, tree care, hardscape installation, and garden maintenance. Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, excavators, and other construction or maintenance equipment. Knowledge of horticulture principles related to plant health and landscape design around pool areas. Ability to operate irrigation systems effectively and perform snow plowing or winter maintenance when necessary. Excellent problem-solving skills to troubleshoot equipment issues quickly and efficiently. Good physical stamina for lifting heavy objects, working outdoors in various weather conditions, and performing detailed maintenance tasks.
