JOB DESCRIPTION
The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production and facility equipment according to reactive, predictive, and productive maintenance systems and processes. The position is for a Mechanic to work in a Truss building facility repairing and providing preventative maintenance services. This is not a travel role as it is at the shop.
REQUIREMENT
Experience with welding and electrical work Perception and visual abilities must be good Must be safety conscious Able to work independently Understanding of chemical safety Knowledge of electrical (up to 480 volts 3 phase) Knowledge of diesel mechanics Knowledge of hydraulic systems Experience in repair of pneumatic hand tools and concrete vibrators preferred Able to read tape measure to 1/16 Intermediate reading, writing, and math skills High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred Trade or technical school certification or 2-5 years related experience or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience preferred 1-2 years hands-on maintenance experience This position requires standing for long periods of time, frequent lifting (up to 50 pounds) and bending, repetitive motion with medium force, and an ability to climb up to 15 feet above ground using stairs Must be able to team lift 100-125 pounds, torque to 500 pounds, and capable of lifting heavy parts in awkward positions
