Overview Join our dynamic team as an Apartment Maintenance Technician and be the vital force behind maintaining a safe, functional, and welcoming living environment for residents. As a key player in our facilities team, you will perform diverse maintenance tasks to ensure all building systems operate smoothly and efficiently. Your expertise will directly contribute to resident satisfaction and property value. Duties Perform routine inspections and maintenance of HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical equipment, and building interior components to ensure optimal operation. Troubleshoot and repair electrical issues using schematics, electrical equipment repair techniques, and tools such as ohmmeters. Conduct plumbing system maintenance and repairs, including leak detection, pipe repairs, and fixture replacements. Utilize hand tools and mechanical knowledge to carry out carpentry tasks, painting, welding, and facilities equipment maintenance. Read and interpret schematics for electrical wiring, HVAC systems, and mechanical systems to facilitate accurate repairs. Maintain building interior spaces by performing painting, drywall repairs, and general carpentry work to uphold aesthetic standards. Supervise or assist in the training of junior maintenance staff while demonstrating leadership qualities in daily operations. Ensure compliance with safety protocols related to electrical work, HVAC repair, plumbing, and other maintenance activities. Respond promptly to resident service requests with professionalism and a customer-focused attitude. Keep detailed records of maintenance activities using MRO (maintenance, repair & operations) procedures for accountability and future planning. Experience Proven experience in residential or commercial property maintenance with knowledge of HVAC systems, electrical work, plumbing, carpentry, welding, and facilities equipment repair. Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) is a plus for troubleshooting automated systems. Hands-on experience with schematics reading and electrical troubleshooting tools such as ohmmeters. Strong mechanical aptitude combined with the ability to use hand tools effectively. Previous supervisory or leadership experience demonstrating the ability to guide team members or oversee projects is preferred. Excellent communication skills in English for clear documentation and resident interactions. Knowledge of maintenance painting techniques and building interior upkeep standards.
