Clermont, FL Job Type:
Part-Time, approximately 2-3 days per week Palms Day School is looking for a reliable and hardworking Part-Time Handyman/Maintenance team member to help keep our school and outdoor spaces safe, clean, and well maintained. This position is ideal for someone who is handy, takes initiative, and is comfortable handling a variety of general maintenance tasks. The schedule will typically be 2-3 days per week, with hours varying depending on the needs and projects around the school.
Responsibilities may include:
General repairs and maintenance throughout the school Basic handyman projects and minor repairs Furniture assembly and installation Touch-up painting and minor facility improvements Outdoor maintenance and landscaping Pressure washing and general exterior upkeep Cleaning and organizing maintenance/storage areas Identifying items in need of repair or replacement Assisting with larger school improvement projects as needed
What We're Looking For:
Previous handyman, maintenance, landscaping, or similar experience preferred Comfortable using basic tools and maintenance equipment Reliable and able to work independently Detail-oriented and proactive Able to lift and move supplies, furniture, and equipment as needed Comfortable working in and around a preschool environment Must be able to meet background screening requirements for working on a childcare property
Schedule:
Approximately 2-3 days per week based on school needs and current projects. Some flexibility in scheduling is preferred.
