Now hiring a Facility Maintenance Technician in Edgewater, FL (32141 area) Job Description The Maintenance Technician performs a wide range of mechanical, electrical, and facilities maintenance tasks to keep machinery, equipment, and building systems operating safely and efficiently. This role combines hands-on repair work, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting to minimize downtime, extend equipment life, and maintain the overall condition of the facility. Perform routine preventive maintenance so that machines run smoothly, building systems operate efficiently, and the physical condition of the facility does not deteriorate. Inspect drives, motors, and belts; check fluid levels; replace filters; and complete other scheduled maintenance tasks by following established checklists. Use a wide range of tools, from common hand and power tools such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, and wrenches to precision measuring instruments and electrical and electronic testing devices. Assemble, install, or repair wiring, electrical and electronic components, pipe systems and plumbing, machinery, and equipment according to safety and quality standards. Inspect, operate, and test machinery and equipment to diagnose malfunctions and determine the most effective repair solutions. Record the type, details, and cost of maintenance and repair work to support accurate tracking and planning. Clean and lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, and other moving parts of machinery to reduce wear and prevent failures. Dismantle devices to access and remove defective parts using hoists, cranes, hand tools, and power tools, and reassemble equipment after repairs. Support continuous improvement by identifying recurring issues, suggesting corrective actions, and helping to optimize maintenance procedures. Collaborate with team members and other departments to schedule maintenance activities and minimize disruption to production. Why Work Here?
