PM, Flex Days Job Description:
We are seeking a dependable Farm Maintenance Technician - Lube Technician to provide routine maintenance and inspections on farm equipment and vehicles. This position will travel to various farm locations each day to grease equipment, top off fluids, perform inspections, complete minor repairs, and identify mechanical or safety concerns. The ideal candidate has 1-3 years of diesel or farm equipment maintenance experience, basic mechanical knowledge, a clean driving record, and the ability to work independently in both indoor and outdoor environments. Responsibilities Travel to farm locations daily to grease equipment and top off fluids on equipment not currently in use. Inspect equipment and vehicles for mechanical, maintenance, and safety concerns. Check, adjust, and replace belts on equipment and vehicles as needed. Perform minor repairs, including batteries, lights, wiper blades, tires, and other basic maintenance items. Retrieve equipment from field locations and transport it to the shop when repairs are necessary. Assist shop mechanics with maintenance and repair tasks. Provide detailed inspection findings to the shop, including equipment needing additional evaluation, repairs, or parts. Accurately record labor time, equipment numbers, and service information in the maintenance tracking system. Notify the shop of potential issues discovered during inspections or servicing. Inspect equipment identification and service stickers and coordinate replacement of missing or faded stickers. Perform emergency and corrective maintenance and repairs. Follow all safety procedures, company guidelines, and established maintenance practices. Qualifications 1-3 years of diesel and/or farm equipment maintenance experience required. Basic mechanical knowledge and willingness to learn additional maintenance procedures. Ability to follow established safety procedures and maintenance guidelines. Valid and clean driver's license required. Strong communication skills. Basic computer skills. Ability to work independently and communicate maintenance issues clearly to the shop and maintenance team. Physical Requirements Must be able to: Stand, walk, sit, bend, twist, squat, reach, pull, and push. See, hear, and communicate effectively. Regularly lift and carry up to 50 lbs. Occasionally lift or carry more than 50 lbs. Perform hands-on maintenance and inspections in a variety of conditions.
