Job Description

The Maintenance Technician II is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing production and packaging equipment in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role supports continuous operations by responding to equipment breakdowns, performing preventive maintenance, and assisting with installations and improvements to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable production 2nd Shift (exact hours may vary by operation) Full-time position Hourly rate $39 Key Responsibilities Respond to equipment breakdowns and production issues in a timely manner Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic system failures and implement corrective actions Perform routine preventive maintenance, including inspections, lubrication, adjustments, and part replacements Document all maintenance work, repairs, and parts usage accurately in a CMMS system Support production with equipment startups, shutdowns, and changeovers Assist with installation, setup, and commissioning of new equipment and line improvements Troubleshoot and repair food processing and packaging equipment such as conveyors, washers, dryers, cutters, baggers, sealers, sorters, and case packers Read and interpret mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, technical manuals, and standard operating procedures Work with PLC-controlled equipment by identifying faults, alarms, and sensor issues; escalate programming needs as required Maintain motors, gearboxes, bearings, belts, chains, pumps, and valves Follow all safety, food safety, and plant operational standards at all times Collaborate with production and engineering teams to improve equipment reliability and performance Qualifications Experience & Education Minimum 2+ years of maintenance experience in food processing, agriculture, or manufacturing Vocational or trade school training preferred, or equivalent hands-on experience Technical Skills Strong mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic troubleshooting abilities Experience working with production and packaging equipment in a manufacturing environment Ability to use CMMS systems for maintenance tracking and documentation Basic understanding of PLC-controlled systems (fault recognition and troubleshooting support) Ability to read schematics, manuals, and technical drawings #pro123
Pay:
