Hollywood, FL 33020, with scheduled work at our Miami propertiesSchedule:
2-3 days per week, approximately 16-24 hours Job type: Part-time, ongoing employment Are you an experienced handyman who takes pride in fixing things properly, finishing the job, and leaving a clean workspace? We operate apartments, furnished vacation rentals, and commercial properties in Hollywood and Miami. We're hiring a dependable maintenance professional to handle everyday repairs, prepare units for occupancy, and catch small problems before they become expensive. This is a steady opportunity for someone who wants consistent part-time work with one property owner. Pay and schedule $25-$30 per hour, based on demonstrated skills and experience. Two to three scheduled workdays each week, with flexibility to agree on consistent days. Most work is in Hollywood; Miami assignments are planned into the schedule. Paid travel time between properties during the workday, with approved business mileage and tolls reimbursed when using your vehicle. Company-paid materials and approved job supplies. What you'll do Apartment and vacation-rental repairs: Complete maintenance punch lists, repair damage, and make sure units are ready for tenants and guests.Painting and drywall:
Patch holes, repair drywall, match texture, touch up paint, and repaint rooms when needed.Carpentry and hardware:
Repair doors, trim, cabinets, drawers, shelving, locks, hinges, screens, blinds, and weatherstripping.Routine plumbing maintenance:
Troubleshoot running toilets, slow drains, dripping faucets, and minor leaks; complete repairs within your qualifications and the approved maintenance scope.Preventive maintenance:
Clean accessible AC and mini-split filters, inspect for condensate leaks, check caulking and seals, and test smoke/CO alarms.Furniture and rental setup:
Assemble and repair furniture, tighten beds and tables, install approved accessories, and help move furnishings using appropriate equipment or assistance.Exterior upkeep:
Handle minor fence and gate repairs, pressure washing, parking-area signs and upkeep, and property cleanup after maintenance work.Identify bigger problems:
Report roof leaks, moisture damage, termite damage, AC failures, and other issues promptly. Assist with access and follow-up for specialist contractors.Track your work:
Follow a prioritized repair list, send before-and-after photos, record time and materials, keep receipts, and report unfinished items before leaving. Work requiring a licensed trade contractor or permit will be assigned to appropriately qualified contractors. What we're looking for At least two years of hands-on handyman, apartment maintenance, hotel maintenance, or residential repair experience. Ability to complete common repairs independently with clean, durable workmanship. Strong troubleshooting skills and good judgment about when to ask for help. Reliable attendance and clear communication about arrival times and job progress. Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and basic hand and power tools. Smartphone skills for work orders, photos, and text updates. Ability to understand work instructions and communicate job updates in English; Spanish is a plus. Professional, respectful conduct around tenants and guests, including careful handling of keys and access codes. Ability to perform the essential physical duties safely, with reasonable accommodation where applicable.
