Job Description

The Facilities Maintenance & Repair Technician supports the safe and efficient operation of our vehicle processing center through facility, equipment, and preventive maintenance activities. This role requires strong mechanical troubleshooting skills, advanced plumbing capabilities, and the ability to deliver excellent service while maintaining accurate digital work-order documentation.
Schedule:
Monday through Friday, 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. EST. Overtime, weekend work, and after-hours emergency response may be required based on business needs.
Responsibilities:
Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and preventive maintenance on facility systems, equipment, and grounds. Complete daily equipment inspections and monitor operating conditions, including fluid levels, filters, alarms, and other critical components. Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, plumbing, and facility-related issues to minimize downtime and maintain operational efficiency. Support repairs and maintenance of equipment such as vehicle lifts, car wash systems, motors, and other building systems. Complete general building repairs, including plumbing, lighting, drywall, painting, and other facility maintenance needs. Respond to service requests, provide timely updates to internal customers, and ensure work is completed with a high level of quality and accuracy. Utilize mobile devices and computerized work-order systems to manage assignments, document labor hours, and record repair details. Collaborate with team members on larger maintenance projects while independently managing assigned work. Support additional Jacksonville-area facilities and assist with special projects, meeting setups, and other operational needs as required. Participate in overtime, weekend coverage, and after-hours emergency response on a rotating basis.
Qualifications:
Three to five years of facilities, commercial, or industrial maintenance experience required. Industrial or commercial maintenance experience strongly preferred; industrial warehouse experience is a plus. Advanced plumbing knowledge and repair experience required; plumbing license not required. Strong mechanical aptitude with experience troubleshooting equipment, motors, and building systems. Experience performing preventive maintenance and inspections on facilities, equipment, or machinery. Proficiency using hand tools, power tools, ladders, and maintenance equipment while following established safety practices. Experience using computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS), work-order platforms, or similar technology preferred. Strong customer service, communication, and documentation skills, including the ability to explain technical issues clearly. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, maneuver up to 100 pounds, and work at varying heights using ladders or lifts.
