$25/hour

7:30 AM - 4:00
PM Employment Type:
Temp-to-Hire Seeking a US Veteran, National Guardsman, Reservist, or Military Spouse preferred . Seeking an experienced Maintenance Generalist II to support facility maintenance operations and perform a variety of general repairs and skilled-trade duties. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience across multiple maintenance areas, including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, mechanical systems, and other building repairs. This is an essential facilities position and may require availability for emergency response.
What You'll Do:
Perform general building maintenance, repairs, and preventative maintenance Build, install, and repair shelves, cabinets, doors, fixtures, and other facility components Repair door hinges, knobs, closures, and related hardware Replace light bulbs, ballasts, electrical outlets, switches, fixtures, power cords, and plugs Inspect and perform minor repairs to sinks, toilets, drinking fountains, drains, pipes, and garbage disposals Perform basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, mechanical, and related maintenance work Replace floor and ceiling tiles and perform caulking and general repairs Move furniture, equipment, freezers, and other facility equipment as needed Respond to equipment alarms, maintenance requests, and emergency calls Complete routine work orders and preventative maintenance assignments Estimate labor and material needs for maintenance requests Accurately document work performed and time spent on assigned tasks Use computerized maintenance and work-order systems Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, layouts, and specifications
What We're Looking For:
High School Diploma or GED required US Veteran, National Guardsman, Reservist, or Military Spouse preferred . Minimum 2 years of relevant maintenance or skilled-trades experience Appropriate vocational or technical training may substitute for required experience at an equivalent rate Hands-on experience in one or more trades such as: Plumbing Electrical Mechanical Carpentry HVAC Welding Pipefitting Ability to evaluate basic mechanical and electrical systems Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Strong verbal and written communication skills Valid driver's license required Ability to work independently and as part of a facilities team Must be available for emergency response and occasional holiday or weekend needs Experience with CMMS or computerized work-order systems is preferred Previous facilities maintenance experience in a complex commercial or institutional environment is preferred Easterseals

Pay:
Up to $25.00 per hour Application Question(s): Do you have at least 2 years of hands-on facilities maintenance, building maintenance, or skilled-trades experience? Which of the following do you have hands-on experience with: plumbing, electrical, carpentry, mechanical/HVAC, welding, or pipefitting? Are you available to respond to emergency maintenance situations, including occasional weekends or holidays, when required? Do you have experience completing preventive maintenance and work orders in a commercial, institutional, hospital, university, or similar facility? Are you willing to take a required drug test? Appropriate vocational/technical training may substitute at an equivalent rate for the required experience. Excellent interpersonal communication and writing skills and the ability to evaluate mechanical and electrical systems. Must be available on holidays, weekends, and emergency responses as the property is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
