A Building and General Maintenance Technician performs building maintenance and appliance repairs for an apartment complex, housing division, residential center or business, as directed by a property manager.

We're looking for an experienced, dependable person who combines strong design skills with hands-on sign production and friendly customer service. You'll work on varied projects, have independence in your day-to-day work, and have opportunities to learn additional fabrication skills. Shop hours are Monday-Friday, 9 a.m.-5 p.m.; part-time schedules will be discussed. What you'll do Answer emails and phone calls, assist walk-in customers, and keep customers informed about their orders. Create and revise customer proofs using Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop. wide-format printer/cutter. Produce cut vinyl and printed graphics, including weeding, masking, laminating, and applying graphics to substrates. Operate a Royal Sovereign 54-inch cold laminator. Measure and cut job materials, and sand and polish acrylic products. Check finished work, then pack and ship online and Etsy orders. Assist with occasional light installations. Use AI tools effectively for customer email drafts, artwork assistance, and troubleshooting, while checking the quality and accuracy of the results. What you'll bring At least 3 years of relevant sign shop, vinyl graphics, or wide-format print production experience. Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop, including preparation of production-ready artwork. Hands-on experience producing and applying vinyl graphics. Confidence using AI tools as part of your workflow. Professional communication, accurate measuring, attention to detail, and dependable follow-through. Ability to organize multiple jobs and work independently. Familiarity with QuickBooks and VersaWorks is preferred. This role includes physical shop work and occasional handling of materials weighing approximately 50-100 pounds, using appropriate assistance or handling equipment for heavier items.
