Hotel Maintenance Engineer

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Maintenance Technician to join our team! The ideal candidate will be responsible for the upkeep and repair of our hotel's facilities, and ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for our guests. This role requires a proactive approach to maintenance, with a focus on preventive measures and timely response to maintenance requests.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform routine maintenance tasks, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry and painting. Keep trash picked up inside and outside of property Inspect and troubleshoot issues in guest rooms, common areas, back-of-house spaces and outside of building Respond promptly to maintenance requests from guests and staff, ensuring timely resolution of issues. Conduct regular inspections of the property inside and out to identify potential safety hazards or maintenance needs. Maintain and operate all hotel equipment, including HVAC systems Work closely with the Housekeeping and Front Desk teams to ensure seamless operations. Maintain accurate records of maintenance work, including logs of repairs, inspections, and scheduled maintenance tasks by following the IHG 5S way of Clean Preventive Maintenance list Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and hotel standards. Provide excellent guest service by smiling and greeting guests as you encounter them.

Qualifications:

Experience is welcomed Knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general maintenance techniques. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong attention to detail. Excellent problem solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot issues effectively. Ability to lift and carry potential heavy objects, climb ladders, and perform other physically demanding tasks. On call availability weekends or Holidays as needed Good communication skills We look forward to meeting with you!

$15.00 - $18.00 per hour
