Hotel remodeling & repair person bm.smr hotel Lakeland, FL Job Details Full-time $16 - $19 an hour 10 hours ago Qualifications Construction painting Attention to detail Routine maintenance projects Hotel experience Woodworking Full Job Description About the Position We are looking for a dependable, hands-on Hotel Remodeling & Maintenance Specialist to join our team. This position is ideal for someone with experience in general maintenance, remodeling, construction, or property improvement who takes pride in quality work and keeping a hotel looking clean, safe, and well-maintained. The ideal candidate is a versatile "jack-of-all-trades" who can handle a variety of repair, remodeling, and finishing projects throughout the hotel. Responsibilities Paint guest rooms, hallways, common areas, and other hotel spaces Repair and patch drywall, walls, ceilings, and other surfaces Install, repair, and replace carpet and flooring Perform trim work, including baseboards, door trim, and molding Repair and replace doors, hardware, and other fixtures Perform basic carpentry and general remodeling work Repair damaged walls, floors, and other surfaces Assist with room renovations and property improvement projects Maintain a clean and organized work area Identify maintenance and repair issues and recommend solutions Complete projects efficiently while maintaining attention to detail Assist with other general hotel maintenance duties as needed Qualifications Previous experience in remodeling, construction, hotel maintenance, or general maintenance preferred Experience with painting, drywall repair, flooring/carpet, and trim work Basic carpentry skills Ability to use common hand and power tools safely Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently Able to prioritize multiple projects and meet deadlines Ability to lift, carry, bend, kneel, climb ladders, and perform physical work as required Must have a positive attitude and professional approach when working around hotel guests Compensation $16.00-$19.00 per hour based on experience and skill level. Candidates with strong remodeling, carpentry, painting, flooring, and general maintenance experience may qualify for the higher end of the pay range. Why Join Us?
