This position with APD will serve staff and management across the Agency. SALARY RANGE
$17.00 Per Hour Position Summary The primary function of the OPS Custodial Worker is to perform work maintaining the cleanliness, sanitation, disinfection, and safety of the facility. The incumbent must be able to document clearly and ensure that documentation is completed as required. The Work You Will Do Ensure floors are maintained by stripping, waxing, buffing, mopping, scrubbing, and sweeping of floors. Ensures the flooring of areas are clean, disinfected, and sanitized. Maintain equipment and supplies to complete the mission. Prepare areas to include moving of furniture as necessary. Some evening/weekend work may be required to provide services to high traffic areas. Provide custodial services to homes as assigned by the supervisor. This includes but not limited to, scrubbing floors, cleaning blinds, baseboards, applying finishing products to floor, washing walls, windows, windowsills, sinks, showers, and commodes. Also includes but not limited to, vacuuming, shampooing carpets and rugs, sweeping, mopping, dusting, polishing, and wiping off tables, furniture, sinks, ceiling fans, air vents etc. Areas include but not limited to, bedrooms, bathrooms, dayrooms, kitchen, dining area, laundry room, linen room, storage rooms and offices on the house on a daily basis. Assist in making beds as needed. Remove trash and dirty trash liners at the beginning and end of each shift. Assist with other areas and houses as requested by supervisor. Notify supervisor of any work orders that need to be submitted immediately. Complete required documents (supply requisition, etc.) as necessary. Notify supervisor and/or management immediately of any areas of concern. Completes all required training. Maintain Sunland's current crisis management prevention and intervention certification as required. Maintain timesheet, ensuring accuracy and submit timely in accordance with policy and procedure. This position may be required to perform essential services before, during, and after an emergency per APD OP 2-0035 and may require the incumbent to work beyond their normal work schedule. Minimum Qualifications Preferred but not required; Custodial/janitorial experience. Preferred but not required; Professional experience operating commercial floor buffers or burnishers
Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities Knowledge of:
Safety measures for using and storing cleaning supplies.

Background Screening Requirement It is the policy of the Florida Agency for Persons with Disabilities that applicants for employment undergo Level 2 employment screening in accordance with the requirements of Chapter 435, Florida Statutes, as a condition of employment or being permitted to serve as a volunteer.
