This vital role involves maintaining the physical infrastructure, electrical systems, mechanical equipment, and overall building environment to deliver an exceptional guest experience. The ideal candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, and possess a strong foundation in facilities maintenance with a passion for creating safe, comfortable, and well-functioning spaces. Responsibilities Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on all hotel systems, including electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning) equipment. Troubleshoot and repair issues related to electrical systems using schematics, ohmmeters, and programmable logic controllers (PLCs). Conduct welding and residential painting tasks to maintain the aesthetic quality of the property. Read and interpret technical schematics and mechanical drawings to accurately diagnose problems. Supervise maintenance projects, coordinate with contractors, and oversee facilities maintenance tasks ensuring safety standards are met. Utilize Quore software to log work orders, track maintenance activities, and schedule future repairs. Maintain detailed records of repairs, inspections, and upgrades to ensure compliance with safety regulations. Assist in manufacturing or installation of new equipment or fixtures as needed for renovations or upgrades. Provide excellent customer service by addressing guest requests promptly and professionally related to room or facility issues. Requirements Proven experience in facilities maintenance within a hospitality or residential environment. Strong electrical experience including troubleshooting with schematics and using tools like ohmmeters. Mechanical knowledge with skills in welding, plumbing, HVAC systems, and general building repairs. Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) used in building automation systems. Ability to read technical schematics and mechanical drawings accurately. Experience with CMMS software for maintenance management is preferred. Supervising experience leading maintenance teams or projects is highly desirable. Perform scheduled preventative maintenance in guest rooms, (CARE, RPM, GCPM), and/or public spaces as required, including flipping/inspecting mattresses, box springs and assembling bed frames, vacuuming behind and underneath furniture, spot cleaning carpets and upholstery, dusting, touch-up painting, touch-up furniture ensuring that all necessary hardware and appliances are present in the room and in working order, replacing light fixtures, and inspecting and repairing grout and caulking. Maintain, repair and clean all guest rooms in accordance with the property room preventative maintenance procedures and standard guidelines. Perform miscellaneous minor repairs such as tightening loose toilet seats, changing light bulbs, and patching holes in walls. Perform general cleaning of all guestroom surfaces to include tub, wall tile, hard floors, walls, windows, mirrors. Report any serious maintenance problems, unusual findings, or safety hazards immediately to the manager/supervisor. Follow all company safety and security policies and procedures; report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager; and complete safety training and certifications. Follow all company policies and procedures, ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional, maintain confidentiality of proprietary information, and protect company assets. Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards and anticipate and address guests' service needs. Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others, and support team to reach common goals. Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards. Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping. Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds without assistance. Assist with moving, lifting, carrying, and placing of objects weighing in excess of 50 pounds. Stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time or for an entire work shift. Perform other reasonable job duties as requested. Excellent communication skills in English for clear reporting and team coordination. Knowledge of residential painting techniques and general facilities upkeep practices. Ability to operate tools such as ohmmeters, hand tools, and power equipment safely.
