SUMMARY:
Private family seeking a hard-working, responsible, and trustworthy family driver who will also serve as handyman when CEO out of town. The successful candidate will have, among other characteristics, excellent cleanliness standards, organizational skills, and the ability to work independently. Attention to detail, prioritization, and time management skills are important as are flexibility, honesty, reliability. Schedule:
Monday through Friday from 7 am to 6 pm (estimated time, but sometimes less) the occasional evening meetings and limited after-hours transportation requests are considered incidental and included in salary when infrequent. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform driving duties, errands, pickups/drop-offs. Clean and maintain vehicles, ensuring they remain fueled, serviced, and presentation-ready. Perform routine inspections and daily walkthroughs for maintenance of household systems, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and appliances. Handle minor repairs such as fixing leaks, replacing light bulbs, patching drywall, and assembling furniture. Coordinate with contractors and service providers for larger repairs and renovations. Ensure proper waste disposal and recycling management throughout the property. Be available to work overtime when necessary When CEO out of town: Clean with water pressure outdoor areas. Painting, patching. Assist with deep cleaning projects, seasonal preparations, furniture protection, storage organisation, and household setup/breakdown for projects or events. Prepare the home for the CEO's arrival by ensuring the property is clean, stocked, fully functional, and any special requests are completed. Frequent walking and standing throughout the workday, with the ability to lift, carry, and move boxes, furniture, and materials as needed. QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Must have at least 5 years of experience as a houseman, handyman, maintenance worker, or similar role in a private household or estate. Knowledge of general home maintenance, plumbing, electrical work. Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively. Knowledge of cleaning products and their application/use on various outdoor surfaces. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Comfortable performing tasks that may require standing, bending, lifting, or working outdoors. Discreet, trustworthy, and professional demeanor. Valid driver's license. PERSONAL CHARACTERISTICS
