Job Overview We are seeking a proactive and skilled Facilities Service Technician to join our dynamic team! You will play a vital role in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for students, teachers, staff, and visitors. This role goes beyond basic cleaning; it is essential for the daily operations and overall health standards of the school facility. The ideal candidate will be reliable, detail-oriented and ensuring that the school grounds and buildings are well-kept and secure at all times.
Duties- Daily Cleaning and Sanitation Classrooms and Offices:
Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors. Empty trash and recycling bins, wipe down desks, whiteboards, and other surfaces.
Restrooms:
Thoroughly clean and sanitize toilets, sinks, and mirrors. Restock essential supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet paper.
Common Areas:
Clean hallways, cafeterias, gymnasiums, and auditoriums. Buff and wax floors periodically as scheduled.
Waste Management:
Collect and dispose of trash and recycling from all areas of the school, ensuring exterior dumpsters are securely closed. Qualifications Previous experience in custodial work, commercial cleaning, or facility maintenance preferred. Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, proper storage, and safe disposal methods. Ability to stand for extended periods, lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs), and perform physically demanding tasks. Strong time-management skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. A positive attitude and the ability to interact politely with students, staff, and the community. Must pass a standard background check as required for all school personnel.
