A Building and General Maintenance Technician performs building maintenance and appliance repairs for an apartment complex, housing division, residential center or business, as directed by a property manager.
The shift times for Maintenance Tech 2:00pm-10:30 pm Monday through Friday
POSITION SUMMARY
The Maintenance Technician 1 will be responsible for building maintenance and a range of basic repairs on equipment. This includes but is not limited to troubleshooting and maintaining small tools and equipment.
CORE FUNCTIONS
Complete building maintenance and repairs (restrooms, lighting, HVAC systems, painting, and pneumatic systems). Troubleshoot and maintain small tools and equipment. Partner with Maintenance Tech II for preventative maintenance (PM). This could include changing filters, oiling parts, minor electrical repairs, etc. Assist in building new fixtures, office equipment, and other necessary tasks. Maintain accurate records of work performed. Support facilities team as needed to ensure a safe and clean work environment.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
Education and Experience High School Diploma or GED required. 2 years of working with mechanical systems, tools, or machines required. Previous forklift experience preferred. Required Licenses None. Skills, Abilities, and Knowledge Basic computer skills, ability to add, subtract, divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions. Travel None.
