A Building and General Maintenance Technician performs building maintenance and appliance repairs for an apartment complex, housing division, residential center or business, as directed by a property manager.
Maintenance Technician (Millwright) Job Description We are seeking experienced Maintenance Technicians (Millwrights) to support the maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and installation of industrial manufacturing equipment in a heavy manufacturing environment. Responsibilities Perform preventative, predictive, and corrective maintenance on industrial production equipment. Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems. Read and interpret blueprints, hydraulic schematics, and technical drawings. Install, maintain, and repair piping systems, valves, cylinders, fittings, and related equipment. Diagnose equipment failures and respond to maintenance breakdowns to minimize downtime. Perform equipment disassembly, inspections, repairs, and reassembly. Utilize welding and fabrication equipment including MIG welders, stick welders, cutting torches, and pipe fabrication tools. Safely perform rigging, lifting, and equipment moves using chain falls, come-alongs, forklifts, man lifts, and overhead cranes. Document maintenance activities, repairs, and work orders in a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS). Follow all company safety procedures including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), PPE requirements, fall protection, and confined space protocols. Essential Skills Industrial mechanical maintenance or millwright experience. Strong troubleshooting skills with mechanical and hydraulic equipment. Welding and fabrication experience (MIG, Stick, Torch Cutting). Experience with pumps, conveyors, gearboxes, bearings, motors, piping systems, and hydraulic components. Knowledge of rigging and equipment installation. Ability to use precision measuring tools and standard millwright hand tools. Experience working in heavy industrial manufacturing environments such as steel, paper, chemical, power generation, shipyard, lumber, or similar industries. Previous experience with Maximo or other CMMS software is a plus. Additional Skills & Qualifications High School Diploma or GED. Ability to pass a mechanical aptitude assessment. Ability to pass a hands-on practical skills assessment. Ability to work rotating shifts, weekends, overtime, and holidays as needed. Why Work Here? The position operates on a rotating schedule of four days on and four days off, with 12-hour shifts running from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and from 6:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. The environment is hands-on, fast-paced, and production-focused, with an emphasis on safe, efficient maintenance of large industrial machinery. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Panama City, FL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $72800.00 - $79372.00/yr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
