This position requires a high school diploma or GED. This position requires two (2) years of recent and verifiable building and/or carpentry maintenance experience. Candidate must have a valid Florida Driver's License to drive college vehicles when necessary. Candidate must have their own transportation to report to other college locations as assigned. Candidate must be forklift certified within one year of employment.

2:30 p.m. - 11:00 p.m.
Key Responsibilities:
Cleans glass, chrome and exits in all classrooms, labs, amphitheater, lecture rooms, conference rooms, gymnasium, etc. Clean all chalkboards, blackboards, whiteboards and erasers on a daily basis. Pick up and removal all trash from same areas (classrooms, labs, restrooms, amphitheater, etc.). Remove trash from exterior receptacles and parking lots. Damps and wets mop vinyl and tile floors. Vacuums floors and carpets. Performs floor maintenance such as vacuuming, shampooing, stripping and waxing, buffing, etc., in assigned areas as directed. Must be familiar with commercial scrubbers, buffers and automatic floor machines. Perform light plumbing (toilets, urinals, sinks, drains), light electrical (bulbs, ballasts), and general maintenance (hang pictures, install dispensers, replace ceiling tiles, complete building audits etc.) Performs high and low dusting of furniture, desks, chairs, windowsills, doors, railings, etc. Clean and germicide all restrooms, drinking fountains and telephones. Cleans, maintains and safeguards all equipment. Keeps janitorial closets clean, neat and organized. Turn off all lights and secure doors. Maintain a work order system, enter work requests for repair issues and report system failures to supervisor for proper notification and attention. Provide support for scheduled concerts, plays, recitals, lectures, and special events by working overtime or additional hours as needed. Responsibilities include event setup, breakdown, and proper storage of materials and equipment. Serve as the primary responder on designated satellite campuses in the aftermath of storms, severe weather, or natural disasters. Drives College vehicles when necessary to retrieve/return supplies, equipment, tools, etc.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
This position requires walking, standing, stooping, stretching, pushing, pulling, reaching, and lifting all of the time, exerting at least 20 pounds of force on a recurring basis. This position will experience exposure to indoor and outdoor temperatures. Must be able to follow oral and/or written communications. Must have computer knowledge to clock in/out and view other personnel related information.
