Facilities Maintenance Technician 4211 Jerry L Maygarden Road, Pensacola, FL 32504 $17

  • Full-time The Facilities Maintenance Technician is responsible for a wide variety of responsibilities related to the basic maintenance and up-keep of the company's facilities including performing basic and preventative facility maintenance and repairs, cleaning and organizing work spaces and company buildings, grounds keeping and cleaning and washing aircraft.
Routine Maintenance & Minor Repairs Replace lightbulbs and fluorescent tubes in hangars and offices. Fix minor leaks in faucets, toilets, and breakroom sinks. Unclog drains and toilets using basic plumbing tools. Patch small holes in drywall and touch up interior/exterior paint. Tighten loose hardware on cabinets, doors, and gate latches. Oil squeaky hinges on personal doors and smaller access gates. Golf Cart routine maintenance. Company Vehicle routine maintenance. Aircraft/hangar support equipment routine maintenance. Cleaning & Waste Management Empty trash bins daily from hangars. Consolidate dumpster waste and wheel bins out for weekly pickup. Sweep hangar floors to keep them free of debris, nuts, and bolts. Clear spiderwebs from high corners, rafters, and bay doors. Airport Hangar Grounds Keeping Pull weeds along hangar foundations and tarmac fence lines. Mow small grass patches surrounding the immediate hangar footprint. Clear debris and trash blown onto the ramp or apron area. Keep tracks clear of stones and debris for the main hangar doors. Facility Inspection & Support Walk properties daily to look for new damage or safety hazards. Report major issues like roof leaks or broken hangar doors to management. Escort outside contractors for specialized HVAC, electrical, or structural work. Restock supplies like paper towels, toilet paper, and soap. Working Conditions The diversity of work conditions may range from an ambient office environment to an environment where inclement weather may subject individual to severe changes of temperature, wind, rain, etc. Must be able to work independently and prioritize tasks appropriately. May be required to work in areas where high noise hazards prevail. May be exposed to fumes or airborne particles or electrical shock hazards. Be physically able to perform mechanical duties on aircraft, including standing, squatting, sitting, walking, working with arms overhead for extended periods of time; able to pull, push, lift to 50 lbs.

candidates must be able to pass an airport background check and have a clean driving history for this role.
