This role performs unit turns, general maintenance repairs, cleaning, painting, and inspections to ensure apartments are move-in ready and meet community standards. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and experienced in apartment maintenance or make-ready work, with strong troubleshooting skills and a commitment to quality and customer service. Key Responsibilities Complete apartment make-ready and unit turn work in a timely and professional manner. Perform general maintenance and repairs throughout vacant apartment homes. Paint walls, ceilings, doors, and trim as needed. Perform basic plumbing, electrical, appliance, drywall, and carpentry repairs. Replace light fixtures, switches, outlets, faucets, hardware, and other items as needed. Inspect completed units to ensure they meet community standards. Assist with cleaning and preparing apartments for new residents. Maintain common areas and assist with general property upkeep. Complete service requests and maintenance tasks as assigned. Maintain accurate work orders and maintenance records. Follow all safety procedures and company policies. Provide professional and courteous service when interacting with residents, vendors, and team members. Qualifications Required Previous apartment maintenance, make-ready, construction, or related maintenance experience preferred. General knowledge of plumbing, electrical, appliances, drywall, painting, and carpentry. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities. Good customer service and communication skills. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical work, including bending, climbing, standing, and walking for extended periods. Reliable transportation and dependable attendance. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Preferred Previous multifamily or apartment make-ready experience. HVAC knowledge or experience. Experience with property management maintenance software. EPA or HVAC certification is a plus. Work Environment Indoor and outdoor work within a multifamily apartment community. Frequent interaction with residents, vendors, and team members. Fast-paced environment requiring strong organizational and time management skills.
