Maintenance Technician

We are looking for a Maintenance Technician to undertake the responsibility to preserve the good condition of a Homeowners Association in St Augustine. The selected applicant(s) will perform maintenance tasks of great variety such as pool maintenance, painting, basic plumbing and general upkeep as needed. Must be able to change an irrigation head. A Maintenance Technician is a professional with a practical mind and attention to detail. The ideal candidate will be able to work autonomously and responsibly by observing all health and safety guidelines. The goal is to maintain the common areas in the best possible condition. Responsibilities Maintain the community pool - having a CPO license is a plus. Survey buildings and repair mechanical systems to ensure they are consistent with health and safety standards Perform maintenance of electrical systems (replace light bulbs and sockets) Coordinate repairs & building projects with outside vendors when necessary Maintain common area plumbing systems to ensure functionality Perform manual repairs when necessary. Ensure building maintenance checklists are observed. Conduct general upkeep procedures (touch up paint, general clean up) and other tasks as assigned (painting, carpentry etc.) Complete work orders and verbal instruction as requested by the Maintenance Supervisor and Community Association Manager. Skills Proven experience as maintenance technician Pool maintenance knowledge and/or have a CPO license Basic understanding of electrical, plumbing and other systems Knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods Working knowledge of tools and devices Manual dexterity and problem-solving skills Good physical condition and strength with a willingness to work overtime if needed. High school diploma or equivalent; Certificate in CPO, building maintenance technology or relevant field will be a plus This is a full-time position with on-call responsibility for emergencies.
