Job Description
Marriott is hiring a Maintenance Technician II to keep our hotel facilities safe, comfortable, and in top condition. In this role, you'll perform routine and preventive maintenance, troubleshoot and repair minor electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical issues, and respond quickly to guest and staff requests. You'll support inspections, document work orders, and partner with the engineering team to minimize downtime. Working on-site in a dynamic hospitality environment, you'll help ensure an exceptional guest experience while building your long-term career with a global leader in lodging. Responsibilities Perform routine and preventive maintenance on guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house equipment Diagnose and repair minor electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical issues Respond promptly to guest and staff service requests and maintenance tickets Safely use hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment following Marriott standards Assist with property inspections and document maintenance activities Support larger repair projects and coordinate with external vendors as needed Follow safety, fire, and building codes and maintain a clean, organized work area Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to minimize guest disruption Required Skills Preventive maintenance Basic electrical repair Basic plumbing repair HVAC troubleshooting Hand and power tool use Work order/ticket systems Reading technical manuals and schematics Safety and OSHA compliance Building systems knowledge Time management
