Job Description

We are looking for an experienced, dependable Fleet & Facility Mechanic to maintain and service a small fleet of approximately 5 Freightliner Cascadia Semi Trucks, 2 Hino 268 Box Trucks, a large number of box/van trailers, and several warehouse forklifts . This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on mechanic who enjoys variety and wants to take ownership of keeping equipment safe, reliable, and ready for daily operations. Responsibilities Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on company trucks Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, brake, steering, and suspension issues Inspect and maintain a large fleet of box/van trailers Perform trailer repairs including brakes, lighting, wiring, doors, suspension, tires, and general maintenance Maintain and service warehouse forklifts Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance Troubleshoot equipment problems and determine necessary repairs Maintain accurate maintenance and repair records Monitor equipment condition and recommend repairs before failures occur Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area Ensure all company vehicles and equipment are maintained in a safe operating condition Work with management to prioritize repairs and minimize equipment downtime Qualifications Previous experience as a fleet mechanic, diesel mechanic, heavy-duty mechanic, or equipment mechanic Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills Experience working on trucks and trailers required Forklift maintenance or repair experience is a plus Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Own tools Reliable transportation and dependable attendance Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety Ability to prioritize multiple repairs and maintenance needs Preferred Experience Experience with any of the following is a plus: Box trucks Diesel engines Trailer suspension and brake systems Air brake systems Electrical diagnostics Trailer wiring and lighting Hydraulic systems Warehouse forklifts Preventative maintenance programs DOT inspections and compliance What We're Looking For We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work and understands that equipment downtime costs money . Pay:
$25.00 - $30.00 per hour Expected hours: 32.0 - 40.0 per week
