Sr Maintenance Mechanic Orlando Health - Health Central Park Nursing and Rehabilitation Center is dedicated to providing professional, compassionate care that enriches and enhances our residents' lives. Located in a quaint Winter Garden neighborhood, Health Central Park features a beautifully landscaped courtyard, gazebos and grilling areas for personal visits with family and friends. A variety of programs distinguish Health Central Park as a respected nursing and rehabilitation center, establishing it as a leader in long-term care and rehabilitation.Position Summary :
To maintain the grounds, facility, equipment in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with current applicable state, federal, and local standards, guidelines and regulations, our established policies and procedures, and as may be directed by your supervisor, to assure that a successful maintenance program is maintained at all times. Responsibilities Ensures that maintenance schedules are followed as outlined for respective shift or area. Reports all accidents/incidents to your supervisor no matter how minor they may be. Coordinates daily maintenance services with nursing services when performing routine assignments in resident living areas. Attends departmental and staff meetings as directed or called. Performs specific tasks in accordance with daily work assignments. Follows established fire safety policies and procedures. Follows all established safety procedures and precautions when performing maintenance services. Maintains general plant and facility in good repair, ensuring a safe, clean and orderly environment. Keeps work area free of hazardous conditions, i.e., grease/ oil spills, excess supplies, equipment, etc Reports all unsafe/hazardous conditions, defective equipment, etc. to your supervisor immediately, Ensures that work/assignment areas are clean and equipment, tools, supplies, etc. are properly stored before leaving such areas on breaks, end of work day, etc. Uses appropriate personal protective equipment and supplies when handling infectious materials. Disposes of refuse daily in accordance with our established sanitation procedures. Keeps supervisor informed of supply needs. Ensures that the facility and its equipment is properly maintained for resident comfort and convenience. Reports equipment malfunctions or breakdowns to your supervisor as soon as possible. Assists others in lifting heavy equipment, supplies, etc. as directed or requested. Performs routine maintenance on grounds, parking areas, driveways, etc., by cutting, trimming, policing, sweeping, etc. as necessary or directed. Performs routine maintenance and repair on the facility and equipment to include plumbing, plastering, electrical, carpentry, mechanical, etc. as directed, in accordance with established procedures. Services heating and cooling units/systems, as specified by the manufacturer, and in compliance with established policies and procedures. Performs unscheduled maintenance tasks as directed. Maintains reasonably regular, punctual attendance consistent with Orlando Health policies, the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards. Maintains compliance with all Orlando Health policies and procedures. Qualifications Education/Training Must be able to demonstrate reading, verbal and written communication, mathematical, and reasoning skills typically acquired through completion of a high school education. Licensure/Certification Valid Florida driver's license and must be insurable under the Orlando Health insurance carrier's requirements and standards. Experience Two (2) years of general facility maintenance experience. Painting experience required.Qualifications:
Education/Training Must be able to demonstrate reading, verbal and written communication, mathematical, and reasoning skills typically acquired through completion of a high school education. Licensure/Certification Valid Florida driver s license and must be insurable under the Orlando Health insurance carrier s requirements and standards.
