in apartment maintenance!•We are seeking an Experienced Maintenance Technician with tools and transport to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our properties by performing routine maintenance, remodel work, troubleshooting issues, and executing repairs. This role requires a strong plumbing, mechanical and carpentry background and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities Routine Maintenance & Inspections:
Conduct inspections of units, common areas, building exteriors, and equipment to identify and address maintenance needs.
Troubleshooting & Repairs:
Diagnose and repair issues with HVAC, electrical, plumbing, appliances, and mechanical systems.
Communication & Reporting:
Maintain regular communication with the Property Manager, providing written updates on project statuses, challenges, and resolutions.
Customer Service:
Respond promptly to tenant maintenance requests, ensuring high-quality service and assisting with residential painting projects as needed.
Move-In & Turnovers:
Prepare units for new tenants by ensuring all fixtures and amenities meet company standards.
Safety & Compliance:
Follow strict safety protocols and regulations while performing maintenance tasks.
Collaboration:
Work with property management to plan and implement maintenance improvements and long-term property enhancements.
Qualifications:
Education & Experience:
High school diploma or GED required; associate degree from a technical college preferred. Minimum of 5 years of building maintenance experience, preferably in residential or multi-family settings.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, carpentry, and general household repairs. Ability to perform painting, drywall, flooring (wood, LVP, tile & carpet), deck repair, siding, minor roofing, exterior trim, window replacement and wood rot repair
Tools & Transportation:
Must have own tools and a reliable work truck. Valid driver's license and dependable transportation required.
Technology & Communication:
Strong written and verbal communication skills, ability to explain solutions to residents, and proficiency in using mobile applications for tracking, scheduling, and communication.
Work Ethic & Flexibility:
Must be self-motivated, capable of working independently, and able to multitask efficiently. Flexible schedule with availability for evening, weekend, and emergency work.
Professionalism & Customer Service:
Must maintain a professional appearance and be customer service-oriented, ensuring positive interactions with residents and team members.
Background Check:
Must have a clean criminal background and be able to pass a background check.
Teamwork & Growth:
Ability to work with a team on projects such as renovations and service calls. Offers great learning opportunities with room for growth.
Pay:
