Day shift with some weekends/on-call as needed About Us Country Inn & Suites in Athens, GA is committed to providing a clean, comfortable, and welcoming stay for every guest. We're seeking a dependable Maintenance Technician to join our team and help ensure our property is safe, efficient, and well-maintained. Position Summary The Maintenance Technician will handle routine maintenance, guest room repairs, equipment checks, and emergency maintenance tasks. This role is essential to the smooth daily operation of the hotel and the overall guest experience. Key Responsibilities Perform general maintenance and repairs, including light plumbing, electrical, HVAC troubleshooting, carpentry, and appliance repair. Respond promptly to guest maintenance requests and internal work orders. Conduct regular inspections of building systems, safety features, and equipment. Complete preventive maintenance tasks on guest rooms, equipment, and common areas. Assist with painting, drywall patching, minor renovations, and groundskeeping. Ensure all work areas, tools, and supplies are organized and properly maintained. Follow all safety guidelines and assist in maintaining fire/life safety compliance. Support the housekeeping and front desk teams with maintenance-related needs. Qualifications Previous hotel or commercial maintenance experience preferred. Working knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general repairs. Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. Good communication and customer service abilities. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks. Availability for weekends, holidays, and on-call rotation. Trade certifications (HVAC, Pool CPO, etc.) are a plus but not required.
